Hi Pira! I was wandering around your site and ended up reading your cultural rants (so glad I did). You put into words a lot of things I’ve been feeling but never quite knew how to say. I really relate to much of what you wrote. A little jealous that you got to enjoy RoboCop and Terminator as a kid. We weren’t allowed to watch those, so my brother and I only got to see and truly appreciate them when we were older. I couldn’t agree more with your points about the gradual dumbing down of adults. With social media and entertainment so heavily censored and curated, it often feels like we’re being talked down to instead of trusted to think critically for ourselves. It was so absorbing to read your thoughts and rants that I didn’t even realize I’d reached the end of the page. Thanks for sharing your mind so openly!! Lastly, I really enjoyed your take on The Boys comics. You’re right, it’s more than just sex jokes and violence, though sadly many might miss that (because again of how used we’ve become to censored content). My guy friends only yapped about the surface-level stuff, so it was refreshing to read a thoughtful perspective.
